Local photographer and writer Tristan Bréville opened this local gem in 1966, bringing together a rare collection of photographic equipment and specimens dating as far back as 1840. Housed within a historical colonial building, the museum displays photographs portraying local life—the landscapes, buildings, and people who have shaped this island. The expansive archives house, amongst others, more than a million negatives, 9,000 postcards, and 50 rare daguerreotypes.
