The rugged northern Cape of Formentor is also known by Majorcans as the “meeting point of the winds”. From here you can enjoy magnificent views across the bizarrely-formed landscape, beautiful beaches and the oldest traditional luxury hotel on the island, where luminaries such as Liz Taylor and Winston Churchill stayed. Another must-see is the lighthouse dating from 1863. The route there is about 20 km long and travels on an adventurous road from Pollença past a 400 m high cliff.
