The Southeastern part of Navarra on the edge of the national park of Bardenas Reales is like a barren moonscape. As a result, the hotel designed by Barcelona architects Emiliano Lopez and Monica Rivera resembles a moon settlement. Eight Cubist white buildings are grouped around a main building. Recycled wood containers hold off the strong winds that gave the hotel its name. The deep alcoves—referred by the architects as habitable windows—allow the boundaries to flow (inside and outside).
