The great English novelist and poet Robert Graves (“I, Claudius”) lived on the island until his death in 1985. He turned the small coastal village of Deia into an international meeting place for artists, which it remains to this day. His former home “Ca N'Alluny” (The House in the Distance) has been retained by his family as a museum. The house can be visited with its furniture and décor unchanged. It is a romantic and nostalgic time capsule and a place of considerable artistic legacy.
