Only a quick twenty minute speed boat ride from the airport, a stay at Angsana Ihuru will make you forget you have a home to get back to. Dark woods and zesty hues create a vibrant atmosphere everywhere on the island. Filled with artwork and colourful textures, every beachfront villa opens up to a large deck furnished with Maldivian Joli swings.

For little extra pizzazz, some villas have an outdoor jet pool in their private garden, an ideal place to relax, unwind and reflect upon the joys of island life. For a unique underwater adventure slip into some fins and follow the resorts dive instructor out to the Rannammari shipwreck. Once a former dredger, this most recent edition to the reef has become festively adorned in sun coral and turned into a colourful habitat for all manner of sea creatures such as moray eels, batfish, nurse sharks and many others. Opportunities for a little romance are abundant. Many intimate and memorable experiences can take the form of a fire lit beach BBQ dinner, picnic lunches on a private sandbank or an invigorating couples spa treatment.

In addition to international, Asian and local cuisine, Angsana offers an adventurous discovery dining experience. A first in the Maldives, this five-course dinner is spread across two islands and five different destination venues. Travel between courses is courtesy of a sunset sail accompanied by champagne and canapés.
