X2 Kui Buri opened in December 2007 on an idyllic beach in Kui Buri. Its 23 villas fit harmoniously into the seemingly untouched natural world. Thai architect Duangrit Bunnag built them using local varieties of stone, incorporating elegant understatement into the design. From the bed you gaze at greenery or the beach through ceiling-high windows. Plenty of space and breadth can also be found at the pool and the 4K restaurant (pronounced “fork”), serving seasonal fusion cuisine.
