Embedded in a hilly landscape descending gently to the sea with lemon and olive groves on Sicily’s Southwest coast is where the first resort in the Rocco Forte Collection was built. Set in 230 hectares of grounds the resort offers its guests space and expanse, which is a rare find in densely populated Europe. The architecture is consistently modern and clear and the flat roofs of the guest bungalows have been turned green. Coast protection programmes prevent erosions, solar panels provide electricity, and only electric cars are allowed on the resort itself.
