Quiet spots can be found even in Jakarta, the largest and most hectic city in Southeast Asia. Industrialist Binapuri Lestari picked the Kebayoran Baru district with its expansive parks to fulfill a very personal dream: to build a hotel that reflects the essence of Indonesia. Four architects and designers worked on the project; as a result, the elegant 100-room hotel shows influences of Dutch colonial architecture, Art Deco elements, Javanese ethnic design, and modern functionalism.
