The buildings rest so harmoniously upon the idyllic beach in the lush hills leading to the dual Pitons, that it’s almost as if the bay was created just for this resort. Sugar Beach’s name hints at its history, once a sugarcane plantation. The 100-acre property houses 59 villas, eight beachfront bungalows, and eleven rooms, all elegantly designed in a modern colonial chic. The privacy and the superlative views of the Caribbean are enough to entrance even the most discerning of guests, not to mention the high ceilings, four-poster beds, and terraces with private plunge pools. The Rainforest Spa is a completely different experience, however, consisting of seven traditionally built tree houses hanging in the forest. The restaurant, located in the beachfront pavilion, serves up the freshest local ingredients to the sound of the sea in the backdrop.
