City chic meets East End cool. The D&D Group, which runs over 30 restaurants world-wide, found the right location for its first hotel at the intersection between London City and the artsy neighbourhood Shoreditch. Conran & Partners came up with the design, whilst the Hoxton Gallery selected paintings and sculptures with strong local ties. The 80-room hotel offers two restaurants, as well as the Secret Garden in the inner courtyard, a bar on the rooftop terrace and an in-house library, which justify the establishment’s motto: “More meet than sleep”.
