The exclusive camp—offering space for no more than twelve guests—is located in the Samburu tribal lands. Samburu warriors, tall and handsome like the Massai, take you hiking in the bush, teach you how to track and stalk game, make fire, and find medicinal plants. The program is inspired by the rituals that prepare Samburu youth for life in the wilderness. The furnishings of the six tents is reminiscent of safaris in earlier times, with wooden chests, mosquito nets, and knotted rugs. From the spacious wooden decks you can gaze across the Kalama Conservation Area to Mt. Kenya, 100 kilometers in the distance.
