As an eco-friendly luxury resort, Reethi Faru was designed to utilize and coexist with the natural landscape. Focusing on local and sustainable materials for construction, the resort used consciously treated teak from Indonesia and acquired other ceramic décor from in and around the region. All accommodations were built with minimal disturbance to the natural landscape. To save on electricity, the resort also utilizes LED lighting powered by solar panels.
Tucked away in the midst of a clustered grove is the Coconut Spa. Guests can lounge in the steam room and sauna before going into any of the private therapy rooms designed for manicures, Ayurvedic treatments, ritual baths, and massages. All around the island, luxurious baths and soft linens are made available by the resort’s use of highly efficient heat exchangers instead of electric water heaters and commercial dryers. Stimulated appetites can be satisfied at Huvandhu Garden, which serves regional cuisine in a semihidden area of the island’s coconut grove. The Reethi Grill serves guests wood-fired specialities like tandoori and pizza in an open cabana setting. There are also plenty of poolside venues around the island offering everything from fruit juices to cocktails, snacks and ice cream.
Filled with choices for active guests, the resort’s sports complex has indoor and outdoor courts for badminton, tennis, and squash. The expansive fitness suite is also the place to enjoy daily classes of pilates, yoga, and aerobics. In addition to arranging unique excursions, the resort actively educates and includes guests in conservation efforts. Day or night, the dive team can take guests out to explore inspiring sea caves, underwater walls, and submerged islands to demonstrate the beauty of Maldivian marine life. Committed to preserving paradise with regular coral planting and cleaning, the Reethi Faru Resort is dedicated to maintaining its little slice of heaven for guests to enjoy far into the future.
