The jungle adventure begins with a hour-and-a-half white water rafting trip on the Pacuare River. That’s how long it takes to reach the lodge, embedded deep within the impenetrable rain forest. Owners Roberto Fernández and Jack Loeb did not cut down a single tree for the construction of the 19 finely appointed guest bungalows. There is no electricity; at night candles illuminate the terraces above the river. There is nothing to distract from the wild, untamed jungle world with its exotic noises and the smell of moist earth.
