BALANCE BETWEEN THE HEMISPHERES - ILHÉU DAS ROLAS

The Island of Rolas (Ilhéu das Rolas) is a small tropical paradise, settled south of São Tomé and Principe. There is a ferry boat twice a day of the only resort (Pestana) which visitors can take with a return ticket for approx 16 EUR. Adding another 6 EUR you can use the resort pool to refresh after a hike win the rainforest. Alternative fishermen offer transfers with their boats for about 10 EUR. The main attraction is a small platform which lines equator's zero altitude. Visitors can balance between the Northern and Southern hemisphere.
