Gentle dells overgrown with shiny silvery-green grass gently caressed by the wind. In the background are heaps of red, 200-million-year-old boulders: Damaraland is an archaic landscape that is deeply moving. Mowani Mountain Camp, with its round thatch roofs that rise like enormous mushrooms from the ground, was built into the cliffs on a rise.
