The outcome of a group of dedicated friends joining together to rebuild a dilapidated medieval village in the mountains of Crete can be experienced at Milia. In the Middle Ages there was no central heating, no electricity – so people dined by candlelight in the village houses and spent the cool evenings in front of a blazing open fire. Guests stay in one of 13 small village houses built from old farmhouse materials. Products from their own organic countryside are used in cooking.
