As if transported from 1970s Marrakesh, this charming collection of whitewashed buildings located at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains and just a few blocks from Palm Springs’ center, Korakia Pensione is entirely unique in the world. Mornings begin with breakfast served in the cool shade of the central courtyard. As the day begins to sear with the rising desert sun, guests retreat to the secluded pool or into the shadows of the hotel library. When the sun sets and the day begins to cool, the light of the hundreds of glowing lanterns appear, as if by magic, to light the sky.
