Kanuhura is one of the biggest islands in the Maldives. At the Male International Airport they have a private lounge where guests wait for their scenic sea plane flight to paradise. The islands has many different culinary experiences including Brazilian style Fogo or a cruise around the lagoon accompanied by champagne, oysters ans caviar. Kanuhura has also designed several ways to savour the islands beautiful sunsets. Guests can take a dolphin cruise around the atoll or request a stationary Gypset Tipi Tent setup with fresh drinks and flavoured shisha. There is also the option of a picnic on a private island. Other evening activities allow guests to explore the night sky out on the ocean with the resorts astrologist. Served daily, afternoon tea in the chef’s wonderfully lush hanging vegetable garden is where guests have a chance to try their hand at Bodu Beru drumming and learn leaf braiding techniques. Tasked with fishing for their supper aboard a traditional Maldivian dhoni, guests will learn the tricks of the local trade accompanied by refreshments and canapés. Upon returning to shore the resort chef will prepare and serve the prized catch in whatever way is desired.
Visits to the nearby islands of Naifaru and Hinnavaru can be arranged for a short cultural excursion. A guided tour through the little streets and harbours will allow guests to explore local life and browse the shops in the community.
