How does the world look from a bird’s eye view? This can be experienced in one of the five tree houses at the Hapuku Lodge on the South Island of New Zealand. Architect and owner Roy Wilson built the wooden guesthouses on 10-meter high stilts in the treetops of the Manuka trees - in one of the most spectacular landscapes in New Zealand. The snow-covered tops of the Kaikura Mountains light up in the background, and not far away is the enticing Mangamaunu surfing bay.
