With a size roughly equivalent to Switzerland, Costa Rica is home to four percent of all native animal species on Earth. The incomparable flora and fauna of the country were the inspiration for the design of the resort for architect Ronald Zürcher. Built from reddish-brown volcanic rock, the guest villas blend delicately into their surroundings. This extends to the interiors, with rattan and bamboo furnishings, local artwork, and indigenous wood and stone finishes.
