The color white is the dominant theme at the new designer hotel on the Greek vacation island of Kos. You see it in the angular buildings that harmonize with the stark volcanic landscape of the elongated island and in the spacious sun terraces. In the lobby, where a moss and ivy covered wall catches the eye, interior designer Panos Petrides accentuated the brilliant white with golden chairs and horses fashioned into lamps. A highlight is the 2.000-square-meter pool extending through the entire hotel complex, with direct access from most of the 110 rooms and suites. The natural beach is just a few steps away, and the island’s lively main town can be reached by bicycle—if it’s not hanging from the ceiling as an art object.
