The former Hotel New Meguro was transformed into the avant-garde Claska, which became Tokyo’s first boutique designer hotel in 2003. Several updates later, it now offers rooms in three different styles, all based on the minimalist principles of modern Japanese aesthetics. In addition to a restaurant offering light, seasonal, local cuisine, the hotel features a roof terrace, an art gallery, and shop and event rooms—as well as Tokyo’s hippest beauty salon for dogs.
