The Baltic island of Rügen is renowned for its charming spa-style architecture, with whitewashed villas, turreted towers, and carved verandas. Amongst this ensemble, architect/owner Moritz Lau-Engehausen erected a modern building with expansive windows and a sparkling white façade, unique yet fitting in the historical region. The interiors play with contrast, with black and coal tones accented with voile curtains, which sway softly in the sea breeze.
