At the southern tip of Sylt, Germany’s most exclusive resort island, Budersand clearly makes its mark. The four cube-shaped buildings linked by bridges house 79 rooms and suites, as well as a modern spa. The façades are clad in cedar slats that quickly turn grey from the wind and weather. This results in a silvery shimmer, like the beach grass that surrounds them. Large glass surfaces afford fluid transitions to the austere island scenery.
