ADARE MANOR HOTEL & GOLF RESORT

In the mid-19th century, one of the Ireland’s most prominent earls created a country estate with an array of eccentricities: 365 windows (one for each day of the year), 52 chimneys (one for each week), seven columns in the entrance hall (one for each day of the week), and four towers (one for each season). Sadly, after several generations, the family ran out of money. In 1982, the seventh Earl of Dunraven sold this fairytale estate. In 1987, a U.S. millionaire of Irish decent acquired the manor, converting it into a hotel. The incredible guestrooms reflect on a time long-passed, with unique architectural details, high ceilings, marble bathrooms, and antique furnishings. Some even have fireplaces that are, in themselves, exquisite works of art, intricately carved from wood. Stroll through the breathtaking gardens, discover ruins from centuries ago, or treat yourself to the delicacies and extensive wine list in the restaurant.
